Salon Manager

Job Summary

Lead daily salon operations and create a welcoming experience for clients and a supportive, organized workplace for stylists. As Salon Manager, you’ll guide the team, coordinate schedules and services, and keep retail products and business processes on track. Duties

• Supervise and develop salon staff; lead employee orientation, training, and shift management.
• Support recruiting and interviewing, communicate expectations clearly, and use negotiation skills when resolving scheduling or service concerns.
• Oversee payroll, bookkeeping, budgeting, purchasing, and day-to-day operations management.
• Manage inventory control, stocking, pricing, merchandising, and retail sales; maintain product knowledge and support sales management.
• Coordinate cashiering, cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, customer service, and salon scheduling.

Requirements

• Supervising, team management, leadership, and managerial communication skills; assistant manager or retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience in sales, retail sales, store management, or managing a retail sales team is preferred; salon or grocery store experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management, POS systems, operational management, retail math, basic math, and cash handling.
• Strong communication, phone etiquette, time management, and organizational skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are welcome.
• Ability to support customer service, employee orientation, recruiting, interviewing, training and development, budgeting, and daily salon operations.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
