Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing parts in an indoor blasting booth to ensure they are ready for powder coating. This role involves performing structural blasting and coating, as well as gaining knowledge of powder coating processes. The position requires operating equipment such as forklifts and telehandlers, along with performing maintenance tasks on related machinery. This is a paid position suitable for individuals interested in manufacturing, surface preparation, and finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment within an indoor blasting booth to prepare parts for powder coating.
• Perform structural blasting and coating to ensure surface cleanliness and proper finish quality.
• Learn and assist with various steps of the powder coating process to support overall finishing operations.
• Safely operate forklifts and telehandlers to move materials and parts as needed within the facility.
• Conduct routine maintenance on blasting and coating equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures during operation of equipment and handling of materials.
• Assist in quality control checks to verify that finished parts meet specified standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience or familiarity with sandblasting, coating, or surface preparation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate forklifts and telehandlers safely; valid certification/license is a plus.
• Willingness to learn about powder coating processes and related procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment with guidance or training.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks as required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
