Sandblasting Machine Operator

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sandblasting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare heavy-duty truck brake shoes and other metal components for further production and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently
• Sandblast used and new metal brake shoe components
• Remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other surface contamination
• Prepare brake shoes and metal parts for further manufacturing and assembly
• Load and unload parts from the sandblasting machine
• Inspect finished parts to ensure proper surface cleaning
• Adjust blasting pressure and equipment settings when required
• Monitor blasting media and refill as necessary
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of sandblasting equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Assist with other production and manufacturing duties when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience with sandblasting, shot blasting, surface preparation, or industrial machinery is preferred
• Manufacturing or metalworking experience is an asset
• Comfortable operating industrial equipment
• Able to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
• Able to lift and handle heavy metal components
• Good attention to detail
• Safety-conscious and able to follow operating procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Training can be provided to the right candidate

Pay: $17.60-$30.38 per hour
