Sander/Painter - Carpentry work

Abrego is seeking to fill a part-time or full-time position with relevant experience in Fine Furniture finish work, sanding and stain with Rubio Monocoat. We are a growing business specializing in handmade wood and upholstery furniture for residential and commercial use. Please submit a resume highlighting your relevant work experience. Looking for someone with a passion to sand and finish wood furniture, specifically chairs and stools with Rubio Monocoat.

Required Experience:

• Min. 1-2 years relative furniture finishing experience, working with hardwoods, large machinery, joinery and relevant wood working experience. This is a sanding and finishing job. Some experience with cutting wood preferred but not required. Requires experience with fine detail sanding and finish stain, oil based.
• general overall carpentry knowledge
• ability to cut wood from dimensioned drawings
• exceptional attention to detail
• have reliable transportation
• must be able to work independently as well as with a team
• safety and experience with carpentry saws (chop saw, table saw, miter saw, band saw, routers, jointers, planer, domino, etc.)
• Sanding experience for creating the perfect finish on all products (this is often times half the job and requires great attention to detail and patience)
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Hours per week: 32+ hrs to full time position - no overtime.
