Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Saw Mill Shipping and Receiving (S&R) Manager to oversee and coordinate all shipping and receiving operations at our facility in Cut Off, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing logistics within a saw mill environment, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound materials.
• Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and minimize delays.
• Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff, promoting safety and operational best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and improve service levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Manager, preferably within a saw mill or lumber industry.
• Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Proficient in relevant software and inventory management systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
