About the Role:

Gunther's Restaurant & Catering in San Jose, CA is looking for an enthusiastic Sandwich Maker & Customer Service team member to join their crew! If you love crafting delicious food and making customers smile, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your energy and passion to a welcoming kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches and menu items to order with speed and accuracy
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately, in-person and potentially by phone
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work station
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines at all times
• Support catering prep and packaging as needed
• Restock ingredients and supplies to keep the line running smoothly

Requirements:

• Previous food service, deli, or sandwich prep experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Basic food safety knowledge; Food Handler's Card a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
