Sandwich Maker/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate POS systems to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction
• Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and accurately process cash handling and card payments
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and other food preparation tools
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and assisting with special requests
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet food safety management standards
• Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or cashier duties as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly without compromising quality
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous retail sales or café experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Flexibility to work various shifts including morning, evenings, or weekends as needed

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
