Sanitation Technician

Job Description: Maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulated food production standards.

Duties:

*Clean and sanitize food manufacturing and processing equipment and its accessories in the facility along with specifically assigned areas. This is including, but not limited to:

* Monitoring of Food Contacts Surfaces (FCs), Non-Food Contact Surfaces, and Zones

* Wipe down of evaporators, overheads.

* Clearing of trash, pallets, etc, from production areas.

* Prevention of trash accumulation.

Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose an unsafe environment.

Follow all standard operation procedures, including but not limited to the Standard Sanitation Operation Procedure (SSOPs), Master Sanitation List (MSS), Sanitation Data Sheets (SDSs), company policies and provincial and federal safety guidelines, under FDA and USDA. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency. Participate in training and cross training, and help coworkers as needed.

Follow all Safety requirements including Chemical Safety, housekeeping, LO/TO, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and engage in facility safety efforts. Participate in the improvement of product, services, and processes.

Preform regular housekeeping of individual station. Constantly preforming visual inspections in regards to safety and quality standards and communicating these with supervisor if necessary.

Demonstrate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), hygiene, personal and food safety practices at all times.

Related Experience/Requirements:

· Preferred one year in a sanitation position.

Physical Requirements

· Job requires workers to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.

· Must be able to work in cold and wet environment.

· Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (Overtime may be required)

5:30am to 1:30 pm (subject to change based on company need)

2:00pm to 10:30 pm (subject to change based on company need)

Pay: $16.00 - $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
