Sanitation Technician

Who are we?

Takwata Builders LP is a wholly owned Taykwa Tagamou Nation (TTN) business specializing in civil earthworks projects. Established to support mines and large‑scale construction initiatives within TTN’s traditional territory. TKBD operates a substantial fleet of earthworks equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and rock trucks. The company’s senior personnel bring extensive experience in tailings pond construction, bulk excavation, pond and ditch development, and a wide range of earthworks projects of varying scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas, including bathrooms, common kitchen/eating areas, offices, meeting trailers, and common areas.
• Good communication, reliability.
• Replacing toilet paper and hand towels Picking up any trash and emptying in the proper trash bins. Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, etc.
• Liaising with the senior health & safety trainer to ensure sufficient cleaning products.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Job requires frequent walking, reaching, bending/stooping when wiping surfaces, frequent pushing/pulling, and gripping to hold all cleaning equipment.
• Wiping, Disinfecting and Dusting various surfaces.
• Restocking of Supplies; Paper Towel, Toilet Paper, Soap, etc.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Physically fit with strong stamina.
• Ability to follow safe working procedures. Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate commitment and ability to provide regular attendance.
• Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven and trustworthy.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
• Accountable, respectful, and reliable.
• Able to work under pressure and in an environment with constant changes.
• Always Ensure professionalism in the workplace (e.g. Professional humour, be appropriate, and know your audience).
• Able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Valid Drivers License (minimum G2 or equivalent) considered an asset.
• Must always be in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour
