This position is responsible for maintaining the production room, keeping the warehouse area clean, and overseeing waste management in these areas. This position also includes sanitation tasks, dishwashing duties, working with chemicals, housekeeping and janitorial duties, restroom cleaning, exterior cleaning, and the use of PPE. The right candidate must be detail-oriented and organized, and make food safety, general safety, and sanitation a top priority. This position requires employees to stand up for long periods of time, work in a wet environment, moving and lift machinery or equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a multitasking sanitation worker position. To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be familiar with sanitation practices, understand the proper use of sanitation and cleaning chemicals, and adhere to the chemical list approved by the Sanitation Manager. Following the current standard sanitation operating procedures (SSOP), the use of Personal protective equipment (PPE) and other policies are applicable to provide the best service to the production and warehouse team. The sanitation employee must be proactive, motivated, and communicate opportunities for improvement to the team. Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste management areas, including dumpster zones, grounds, and recycling containers. Empty all trash cans and containers daily.
• Sweep and clean all floors across the production areas, hallways, pack-out zones, and warehouse.
• Operate auto floor scrubber to sanitize floors in the production area, wash bay, and warehouse.
• Clean and restock the shoe scrubbing and sanitizing stations to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Stock production lines with required materials such as gloves, microfiber towels, and other consumables.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of HACCP utensils at assigned production lines.
• Maintain and organize supply areas, including monitoring Cintas and internal supply inventories. Keep the chemical storage cage clean and organized.
• Lift and assist in moving equipment or machinery for thorough cleaning and sanitization.
• Clean and sanitize all machinery, buckets, utensils, racks, and additional equipment daily, using either the wash bay or dishwashing machine.
• Keep the wash bay area, floors, racking, and dishwashing machine consistently clean and sanitized.
• Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning the GMP room, breakroom, and restrooms.
• Serve as a backup for Sanitation Technician team members as needed.
• May clean other areas of the facility as required.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• No experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety data sheets (SDS) and paper checks.
• Ability to complete food-ready sanitation tasks on a tablet device.
• Ability to complete basic sanitation checks.
• Ability to read, write, and complete forms and sanitation records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with safe waste handling procedures.
