Job Description SAP ABAP Developer:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic SAP team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in core ABAP development and experience working on at least one end-to-end SAP implementation project.The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining SAP ABAP programs and custom solutions based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms (Smart Forms / Adobe Forms), and Workflows.
• Design and develop custom reports based on business requirements.
• Work on BDC (Batch Data Communication) for data migration and upload programs.
• Develop and enhance BADI, BAPI, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and other custom objects.
• Build and maintain Module Pool Programming applications for custom SAP screens and transactions.
• Work extensively with DDIC objects such as Tables, Views, Structures, Data Elements, Domains, Lock Objects, and Search Helps.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and development solutions.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ABAP developments and SAP customizations.
• Perform code reviews and optimize existing developments for better performance and maintainability.
• Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and support projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, including technical specifications, unit test documents, and code documentation.
• Ensure developments follow SAP standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Support integration with other SAP modules and third-party applications where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in SAP ABAP Development.

• Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation project.

• Strong hands-on experience in:

• BDC

• Reports

• BADI

• BAPI

• Module Pool Programming

• DDIC

• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming concepts and development standards.

• Experience in developing:

• Classical Reports

• Interactive Reports

• ALV Reports

• Dialog Programming

• Smart Forms / Adobe Forms

• Interfaces using ALE/IDOC and RFC

• Experience with SAP enhancement techniques such as:

• User Exits

• Customer Exits

• BADIs

• Enhancement Framework

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in ABAP programs.

• Good understanding of SAP Data Dictionary concepts and database objects.

• Knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, PP, or other SAP modules will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with SAP Workflows and interface developments is a plus.

• Good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
