SAP ABAP Developer

Dematic, a KION Group company, is looking for an SAP ABAP Developer to join our global IT organization and support the development and evolution of our SAP landscape.

In this role, you will design and develop SAP solutions, integrations, and enhancements across SAP ECC and S/4HANA , working with modern ABAP technologies and collaborating with global teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop SAP solutions using ABAP, OData, CDS Views, AMDP, Native SQL, and SQL scripts .
• Develop and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces between SAP cloud and on-premise environments.
• Support integrations using SAP CPI and technologies such as OData, SFTP, IDoc, SOAP, HTTP, and REST.
• Develop traditional ABAP objects including WRICEF components, ALV reports, Adobe Forms, interfaces, enhancements, and conversions .
• Create technical specifications based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform development, unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and transport management across SAP environments.
• Support SAP integrations using IDocs, RFCs, web services, and ABAP proxies .
• Troubleshoot production and development issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Participate in SAP implementation, conversion, testing, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
• Follow development standards, documentation requirements, and SAP best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field .
• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience .
• 2+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA .
• Experience participating in at least two end-to-end SAP implementations or conversions .
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Object-Oriented Programming .
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA development .
• Experience with SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, and ABAP Development Tools (ADT) .
• Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, Native SQL, ALV, Adobe Forms, and RF Screen Programming .
• Knowledge of SQL Trace, runtime analysis, debugging, ABAP Query, and InfoSets .
• Experience integrating SAP with middleware and external applications.
• Familiarity with data transformations such as JSON, XML, and CSV .
• Experience with EDI integrations and API Management is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and working within structured project environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) is required .
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% .
