SAP ABAP Solution Architect

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Solution Architect with 12+ years of experience to join our SAP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining technical architecture, designing scalable SAP solutions, and providing technical leadership across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

The role requires strong expertise in ABAP, ABAP on HANA, SAP S/4HANA, modern SAP development frameworks, integration technologies, and solution architecture, along with the ability to work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end technical architecture for SAP ABAP and S/4HANA solutions.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Lead technical design and development activities across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Provide technical guidance and architecture direction to ABAP development teams.
• Review technical designs, development approaches, coding standards, and performance optimization.
• Translate complex business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive SAP modernization initiatives, including S/4HANA conversion, clean-core principles, and cloud-ready development.
• Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, integration teams, and other technical teams.
• Evaluate existing solutions and recommend appropriate enhancements, extensions, and modernization approaches.
• Ensure adherence to SAP architecture, development standards, security, performance, and quality guidelines.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution reviews, estimations, and project planning.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 12+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience, with strong experience in solution design and architecture.
• Proven experience working with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong expertise in ABAP and ABAP on HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and clean-core principles.
• Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end SAP solutions.

• Understanding of side-by-side and in-app extensibility.
• Experience with SAP BTP-based solutions is an advantage.
