About the Role

SAP ABAP Developer (Technology Analyst) Location: Kuala Lumpur Employment type: Permanent Perform SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP development, with a technical-focused mix of roughly 70% technical and 30% functional work.

Responsibilities

• Support an internal SAP platform running on S/4HANA, including a mobile app that lets reporting lines grant approvals on mobile devices.
• Perform SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP development, with a technical-focused mix of roughly 70% technical and 30% functional work.
• Develop and enhance SAP objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows (RICEFW).
• Work with business users, functional consultants and SMEs to understand SAP business processes, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, unit testing, debugging and troubleshooting, and support UAT.
• Develop programs for data migration and data validation.
• Provide third-level support for daily core SAP operations, including post-go-live support and defect resolution.
• Coordinate with SMEs, Development, QA, Usability, Training and Transport Management for successful delivery of enhancements and fixes.
• Support users across the APAC region, working closely with teams based in India.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, unit test results and end-user training materials, and provide input to standards and best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Required Skills

• 2 to 3 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with Reports (Classical/ALV), SmartForms or Adobe Forms, User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, Function Modules, RFCs and Data Dictionary objects.
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP applications.
• Experience with data migration and UAT.
• Good command of English.
• Comfortable working onsite when required.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP Fiori and OData services.
• Basic knowledge of CDS Views and AMDP.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• SAP BW (Business Warehouse) candidates with strong coding and programming skills will also be considered.

Pay range and compensation package
