Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer (SAP PM/SM/PS) for a Contract with a client located in Houston, TX—onsite, with strong hands-on experience with SAP PM/SM & PS modules, ABAP, debugging , ECC, Technical Infrastructure, integration, and web applications.

Rate Range: $75/hr - $80/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Job Description:

• This position is to support the SAP PM/SM & PS modules.
• This position is responsible for providing technical expertise for projects, system enhancements, and production support.
• This position will also involve working closely with team members of other SAP ABAP and configuration groups such as SAP-CCS, SAP-MM, SAP-FI and SAP-BW groups.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflow (RICEFW) in the EAM/PM, SM and PS modules of SAP.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts and end-users to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose technical solutions.
• Design and implement custom functionalities, user exits and enhancements to optimize SAP system performance and meet business objectives.
• Perform complex debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning of ABAP programs to ensure reliability, stability, and optimal system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies, tools, and trends and recommend improvements and innovations to enhance system capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, project managers, and technical teams to deliver high -quality SAP solutions on time and within budget.
• Responsible for production support issues that arise. This involves technical knowledge for troubleshooting issues to determine whether process, development/ABAP, security, or configuration needs to change.
• Participate in blueprinting and project design sessions when assigned to understand business requirements and validate process approaches.
• Maintain a good understanding of SAP technical concepts/technologies, SAP releases and patches, including applying OSS notes.
• Foster an environment of operational excellence and innovation through encouraging new process and technology development for improvement in systems or workforce productivity while maintaining sensitivity to costs of services,
• Provide on-call support (rotation) needed during non-business hours for emergency issues.
• Performs all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships with client organization, functional and other IT team members.
• Provides technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to co-workers on PM-related components.

Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years of SAP development experience in the areas of PM, SM, and PS modules.
• Experience with the maintenance of the SAP technical infrastructure within ECC.
• Experienced with using SAP web and integration technologies.
• This position will require hands-on experience integrating SAP with external applications - such as web applications.
