Sap Basis Consultant

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize our SAP infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our SAP landscapes. You will support daily operations, handle transport management, and participate in system upgrades and migrations.

Core Responsibilities

• Landscape Management: Monitor, optimize, and maintain SAP system health, performance, and security.
• Transport Management: Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure seamless code deployment across environments.
• System Refreshes: Execute routine SAP system copies, refreshes, and post-refresh configurations.
• Database & OS Administration: Perform basic administration, backups, and troubleshooting for databases (HANA, Sybase, or Oracle) and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Backup & Recovery: Ensure robust backup schedules and participate in disaster recovery drills.
• Security & Authorization: Assist in user administration, role maintenance, and system security patching.
• Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot dumps, locks, system bottlenecks, and connectivity issues (RFC, RFC destinations, internet communication framework).

Required Technical Skills

• SAP NetWeaver: Strong hands-on experience with SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java stacks.
• Database Expertise: Proven experience with SAP HANA administration (including Hana Studio, Cockpit, and HDBLCM).
• SAP Products: Familiarity with ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager 7.2, and Fiori setup.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Exposure to hosting SAP on cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly preferred.
• Tools: Proficiency with SAP Support Portal, Early Watch Alerts (EWA), and system monitoring tools.

Qualifications & Soft Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP Basis or HANA) is a strong plus.
• Communication: Clear communication skills to collaborate with functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle critical system outages calmly.
