Role Title: SAP FI/RTR Project Manager

Duration: 8-12+ months

Preferred Location: Colorado every other week, with 2–3 consecutive weeks onsite during SIT cycles. Travel expenses paid. Arrive Monday before noon; depart Thursday after 3 PM

Role Description:

Seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP S/4HANA Record to Report (RTR) Project Manager to support the Global Process Owner (GPO) on a complex global S/4HANA transformation. The program involves multiple legacy ERP environments, enterprise structure redesign, significant data harmonization, and phased global deployments.

The PM will manage day-to-day RTR workstream activities, allowing the GPO to focus on broader business and transformation priorities. This role requires strong project management capabilities combined with sufficient SAP Finance/RTR knowledge to understand testing issues, cross-functional dependencies, and their impact on project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain detailed RTR project schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, and critical-path dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across Finance, IT, business process owners, implementation partners, and the broader PMO.
• Manage workloads, competing priorities, resource constraints, and quick-turnaround requests. Identify unrealistic timelines and develop achievable plans.
• Track risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies, driving accountability and timely resolution.
• Coordinate RTR activities across multiple SIT/UAT cycles, participating in selected testing sessions to understand defects and business process impacts.
• Identify cross-workstream testing dependencies and adjust schedules when unresolved defects affect downstream activities.
• Support coordination of data migration, mock data loads, reconciliation, cutover planning, and deployment readiness.
• Facilitate meetings, maintain project documentation, and provide clear status reporting to workstream and program leadership.
• Identify and implement improvements to workstream planning, coordination, and execution.
• Use Jira for project tracking, issue management, and reporting.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on project management experience supporting large, complex SAP implementations or global ERP transformations.

• Demonstrated experience managing an SAP Finance workstream within an SAP S/4HANA implementation; Record to Report (RTR) strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of SAP Finance/RTR processes and integration points with other SAP workstreams, including P2P, OTC, and Supply Chain.

• Experience managing integrated project schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, critical paths, RAID logs, action trackers, and executive reporting.

• Experience coordinating SAP SIT/UAT cycles, understanding testing defects, managing cross-functional dependencies, and adjusting testing schedules.

• Knowledge of SAP implementation activities, including design, build, data migration, cutover, deployment, and stabilization.

• Ability to participate in Finance testing discussions, understand business process issues, and coordinate resolution with functional and technical teams.

• Experience working directly with Global Process Owners, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and enterprise PMOs.

• Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills. Must be comfortable personally managing detailed PM activities rather than providing high-level oversight.

• Experience with Jira and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

• Willingness to travel to Colorado every other week, including 2-3 consecutive weeks onsite during SIT cycles.

• Direct SAP S/4HANA RTR workstream PM experience.

• Experience with global, multi-ERP transformations and complex data migration.

• Manufacturing industry experience.

• PMP certification.
