D365 SCM Functional Consultant – Production, MRP & Production Control

Location: Bonn, Germany (on-site as much as possible)

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a strong, hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 SCM) Functional Consultant to support a manufacturing site in Bonn where the implementation has not gone to plan.

The focus is to get the plant fully operational, stabilise the solution, resolve functional issues and ensure the business can effectively run its day-to-day production and supply chain operations.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role requiring someone who can work directly with plant teams, provide on-site guidance and handholding, troubleshoot issues, and translate operational requirements into practical D365 solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Stabilise and optimise the D365 SCM implementation, focusing on getting the plant up and running effectively.
• Provide deep functional expertise across Production, MRP, Production Control and Supply Chain Management .
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting production planning, scheduling, material availability and shop-floor operations.
• Support and guide users through day-to-day processes, providing hands-on coaching and knowledge transfer.
• Review planning parameters, production processes and MRP outputs to identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Work closely with plant stakeholders to understand operational challenges and drive issues through to resolution.
• Bridge the gap between the D365 solution and real-world manufacturing requirements.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong functional consultant with proven hands-on experience in Microsoft D365 SCM.
• Deep expertise in Production, MRP, Production Control and manufacturing supply chain processes .
• Experience stabilising challenging implementations or supporting manufacturing sites post go-live.
• Practical, proactive and comfortable working directly with plant teams to resolve issues and drive adoption.
• Available to start ASAP and commit to 5 days per week, with a strong preference for being on-site in Bonn as much as possible .

The priority is someone who can roll up their sleeves, build confidence with the plant team and get production and supply chain operations running effectively in D365.
