SAP Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an SAP Functional Consultant to configure, test and support S/4HANA processes, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain.

This role is part of a 10-member, self-contained SAP pod that can advise on, direct, manage and deliver SAP transformation programs end to end: ECC-to-S/4HANA migration (system conversion, new implementation and selective data transition), RISE with SAP, SAP HANA database migration and operations, Basis and technical upgrades, ABAP and Fiori development, and SAP application management.

You will work with both senior functional consultants and cover MM, PP and QM, with exposure to FI/CO integration. The pod uses AI to speed up transformation work: documenting legacy ABAP, analysing and remediating custom code, and generating and running test scripts, with consultants reviewing and approving every change.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support MM, PP and QM processes in S/4HANA, including MRP Live and production planning.

• Take part in fit-to-standard workshops and document requirements and gaps.

• Write functional specifications for RICEFW objects, using AI tools to draft and refine them.

• Prepare and load master and migration data with the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit. • Prepare and run test cases for SIT and UAT, including AI-generated test scripts; log and track defects.

• Support mock conversions, cutover, hypercare and day-to-day incident resolution. • Prepare user training material, process documentation and Fiori app guides.

Mandatory Skills

• 4–8 years of SAP functional experience in MM and/or PP.

• At least 1 full-cycle implementation or ECC-to-S/4HANA conversion.

• Good configuration skills and knowledge of integration with FI/CO and SD.

• Experience writing functional specifications and test cases.

• Data migration and master-data experience.

• Clear communication and the ability to work directly with business users.

Preferred Functional Areas

MM | PP | QM (with EWM exposure)

Nice to Have

• QM or EWM exposure.

• S/4HANA simplification items for logistics.

• Fiori apps for procurement and manufacturing.

• Manufacturing or logistics industry experience.

• SAP S/4HANA certification.

Education

BE/BTech/MBA or equivalent.
