SAP Head

G M Fabrics is hiring "SAP Head" to oversee the entire SAP and IT dept for the whole company.

Work Location: Marol, Andheri(E) and travel to plant as per the need.

Job Role:

1. SAP Strategy & Leadership

• Lead SAP implementation, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing support across HO and manufacturing plants.
• Develop the SAP roadmap in line with business growth, operational requirements, and digital transformation goals.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across departments.

2. SAP Functional & Technical Management

• Oversee SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, PM, QM and WM/EWM, as applicable to the business.
• Ensure effective integration of SAP with production, inventory, procurement, sales, finance, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Manage ABAP developments, customizations, reports, interfaces, and system enhancements.
• Coordinate with SAP implementation partners, consultants, and internal IT teams.

3. Manufacturing & Textile Operations

• Ensure SAP effectively supports textile manufacturing processes, including yarn procurement, weaving, dyeing, processing, finishing, printing, quality control, and dispatch.
• Streamline production planning, material consumption, inventory management, batch/lot traceability, and production costing.
• Improve visibility of production efficiency, machine utilization, wastage, rejections, and order status across plants.

4. Business Process Optimization

• Work closely with Sales, Merchandising, Export, Purchase, Production, Finance, HR, and Warehouse teams to understand business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities and reduce manual work through SAP and integrated digital solutions.
• Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and management analytics for informed decision-making.

5. Project & Vendor Management

• Manage SAP projects, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and implementation partners.
• Ensure effective change management, user training, documentation, and adoption of new functionalities.
• Monitor system performance, data accuracy, security, access controls, and business continuity.

6. Team Management

• Lead and mentor the SAP functional and technical team.
• Establish support processes, SLAs, issue-resolution mechanisms, and best practices.
• Ensure timely resolution of critical business issues and minimize system downtime.

Education, Experience and Skillsets:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or relevant SAP certifications preferred.
• 12–18 years of overall IT/SAP experience, with significant experience in SAP leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in SAP implementation, integration, customization, and support in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA; knowledge of migration and upgrade projects preferred.
• Prior experience in the textile, home textile, apparel, or process manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, inventory, costing, and financial controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management, team leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
