Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA MM Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), implementation, procurement processes, and MM integration with other SAP modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA project, with a strong understanding of business requirements, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support.

The consultant will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver effective SAP MM solutions, resolve complex functional issues, and improve business processes. Experience working with Japanese customers is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate SAP MM implementation, configuration, enhancement, and support activities.
• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP MM solutions.
• Gather, validate, document, and map client business requirements, processes, and objectives.
• Configure, customize, and test SAP MM functionality to meet business needs.
• Identify functional gaps, troubleshoot issues, and recommend effective workarounds and solutions.
• Support new implementations, ongoing support projects, and production issues.
• Coordinate with clients and technical teams to resolve functional and integration-related problems.
• Manage high-priority changes and emergency transports when required.
• Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, test cases, and testing documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
• Support integration between SAP MM and FI, along with relevant interfaces and external systems.
• Work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing functional guidance to junior team members when required.

Mandatory Skills

• 8-10 years of overall experience, including at least 8 years of relevant SAP MM experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM implementation and configuration.
• Experience working on at least one SAP S/4HANA project.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle.
• Good understanding of pricing procedures and release procedures.
• Experience with flexible workflow configuration and approval processes.
• Knowledge of stock transport orders (STO), movement types, and inventory management.
• Experience with automatic account determination and MM-FI integration.
• Good understanding of subcontracting processes and invoice verification.
• Strong knowledge of interfaces, file mapping, IDocs, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience in functional testing, issue resolution, and implementation/support activities.
