SAP Process Expert

About the project:

• A global SAP S/4HANA transformation program at a large industrial company with global service operations
• The client is harmonizing and upgrading its core SAP system to S/4HANA using a global template (one standard solution rolled out across countries)
• Service processes are at the heart of the program because they connect planning, execution, contracts, materials, invoicing, reporting, and long-term customer service
• Complex products with high demands on process quality, traceability, and long-term ownership
• Finspång is known for advanced manufacturing of gas turbines for the energy sector, so the environment is likely energy and heavy industry aftermarket service
• The role covers both the period before go-live and building future process ownership after go-live

Job responsibilities:

• Act as a process specialist and Advanced Key User for one or more service areas
• Take part in workshops to define, clarify, and validate business requirements
• Contribute to process design, business scenarios, and use cases
• Make sure the SAP solution supports real-world service operations, not just technically works
• Define and validate test scenarios for ITC (integration testing) and UAT (user acceptance testing)
• Collaborate with related areas such as planning, execution, billing, and reporting
• Track requirements, gaps, decisions, and improvements in a structured way
• After go-live, support end users, local key users, and the support organization
• Drive improvements, change requests, release testing, and process adjustments

Relevant areas of expertise :

• Field service execution and resource coordination
• Open-market service processes: planning, sourcing, and dispatching of resources, services, tools, instruments, and materials
• Service agreements, maintenance plans, and service orders
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Repair and refurbishment: returns, workshop workflows, inspection, repair, and return to customer
• Traceability and integration with manufacturing processes
• Service value flow, controlling, and financial reporting
• Event-Based Revenue Recognition, results analysis, WBS elements, and reporting structures
• Service master data: functional locations, equipment, bills of materials, service products, maintenance task lists

Must have skills

• Around 5 years of relevant experience
• Solid SAP experience, preferably in service-related processes
• Strong understanding of service processes in a large, ideally global, organization
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and template-based implementations
• Experience with transformation, harmonization, or system implementation projects
• Ability to work in a global environment with many stakeholders
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in Finspång at least 3 days per week

Nice to have skills

• Experience with SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance), and/or CS (Customer Service)
• Spoken and written Swedish
• Background in advanced manufacturing, energy, services, maintenance, or product aftermarket
• Experience with S/4HANA Service with Advanced Execution
• Understanding of financial flows for service orders, WBS, and revenue recognition (SAP FI/CO, PS)
