SAP Program Manager

Job purpose:

The candidate is responsible for the delivery, governance, and success of large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to business and IT stakeholders, orchestrating end-to-end program execution to ensure business value realization, process optimization, and digital innovation. The S/4HANA Program Manager will oversee project teams, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and champion change management, ensuring that all aspects of the S/4HANA program align with organizational objectives and best practices.

Key responsibilities:

Program Leadership: Direct and coordinate all activities related to the S/4HANA transformation program, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against objectives.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, business leaders, and technology partners. Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and ensure expectations are clearly defined and met.

Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive program roadmap. Work closely with business and IT leadership to ensure S/4HANA project outcomes are aligned with strategic goals and expected business benefits.

Budget and Financial Oversight: Define program budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal use of resources. Track expenditure and deliver progress reports to leadership.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Establish risk management processes and contingency planning for critical project milestones.

Team Leadership: Build, inspire, and manage high-performing cross-functional teams. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to project team members, ensuring a collaborative and productive environment.

Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives associated with S/4HANA implementation. Develop and execute change management and communication plans to maximize adoption and minimize resistance.

Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee selection, negotiation, and management of external partners and vendors. Ensure third-party deliverables meet quality and contractual requirements.

Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure delivery meet organizational standards and S/4HANA best practices.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes both during and post-implementation. Capture lessons learned and promotes a culture of continual improvement across the program.

Must have Skills:

Worked as Program Manager in SAP S/4HANA engagements (Implementation or rollout or transformation projects) in customer facing role and managing a project team of 50+ associates.
