SAP Programme Manager

We are currently supporting a long-term global transformation programme and are looking for an experienced SAP Programme Manager / Director to join on a freelance/contract basis.

This is a high-impact opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale ECC to S/4HANA transformation within a complex international environment, leading end-to-end programme delivery across the core back-office business functions: logistics, procurement, finance and sales. The programme also includes bringing business units that currently run on non-SAP systems onto the SAP platform.

Role Overview

You will lead the ECC to S/4HANA transformation at the programme level, ensuring successful delivery across governance, roadmap definition, and execution. Alongside the S/4HANA move, you will lead the onboarding of non-SAP business units onto the SAP landscape, harmonising processes and data onto a single global template. Despite the industrial nature of the business, this is not a manufacturing-functional role. The focus is on wider ERP transformation and aligning SAP delivery to broader enterprise strategy.

You will oversee multiple business and technology workstreams in an international setting, manage senior stakeholder relationships up to C-level, and hold implementation partners to account for scope, quality and delivery. A strong emphasis is placed on change management and business adoption across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ECC to S/4HANA programme governance, roadmap and delivery
• Lead the migration of non-SAP business units onto the SAP platform, including process harmonisation, data migration and cutover
• Manage cross-functional business and technology workstreams across logistics, procurement, finance and sales
• Drive engagement with senior and executive-level stakeholders
• Manage system integrators and implementation partners against scope, quality and cost
• Ensure alignment between SAP delivery and enterprise business strategy
• Lead change management and support business adoption across regions
• Provide leadership across global rollout and transformation phases

Required Experience

• Proven experience leading large-scale SAP ECC and S/4HANA transformation programmes
• Experience onboarding non-SAP or legacy ERP businesses onto SAP, ideally using a global template rollout approach
• Strong functional understanding across SAP MM, SD, FI/CO and logistics (P2P, O2C, R2R)
• Experience delivering global, multi-country ERP rollouts
• Track record of managing SI and implementation partners
• Strong executive stakeholder management experience (C-level exposure)
• Experience working in international enterprise environments
