SAP Project Lead

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Lead / IT PMO to oversee the country deployment of a global SAP template. You will manage overall project delivery, coordinating test scope and execution, local data readiness, and cutover activities across multiple teams and stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role for someone who is confident in data migration and cutover, understands how SAP modules fit together, and can keep teams aligned and delivery on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall delivery of the SAP project to deploy the global template at country level.
• Oversee the compilation and facilitation of test scope and test execution across SAP modules.
• Coordinate local data activities and technical cutover tasks to ensure a smooth go-live.
• Manage project scope, monitor the execution of deliverables, and keep timelines on track.
• Communicate with multiple stakeholders to manage expectations, issues, and outcomes.
• Engage with multiple teams, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to problems that cut across teams.
• Implement best practices in Data Take-Over Management (DTM) and cutover to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor and guide Data Owners, and work with the regional team to remove roadblocks.
• Continuously assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies across testing, data, and technical cutover.
• Foster a collaborative environment and ensure alignment on project goals among team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including delivery of SAP projects.
• At least 2 SAP Data Migration and Cutover projects managed (mandatory).
• Experience across multiple SAP modules, such as FICO and MM, and other core modules (e.g., SD) (required), with a good understanding of cross-module integration and data dependencies.
• Proven experience managing project scope, deliverables, and risks in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Hands-on experience with test management, data migration, and cutover planning for SAP deployments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business, IT, and regional teams.
• Ability to mentor and guide non-technical data owners.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Petaling Jaya approximately 70% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or global template rollouts.
• Experience working with regional or global teams in a multinational environment.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
