Job Description Application Support Engineer (SAP PS)

Summary

As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, investigating and resolving issues across critical business systems. This role demands proactive problem identification, system behavior analysis, and ensuring smooth operation of enterprise applications. You will collaborate with multiple teams, drive decisions, and support business continuity through effective problem-solving and timely interventions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the team in support activities.
• Take ownership of team decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to key business decisions.
• Provide solutions to complex problems within your team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align support activities with business needs.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP Project System (PS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in managing and supporting enterprise-level applications
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively across diverse teams
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and incident management processes
• Capability to document solutions and maintain knowledge bases

Good-to-Have Skills:

• SAP Asset Accounting
• SAP Investment Management
• Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Group Reporting

Experience & Education

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP Project System (PS)
• 10+ years of total experience (Level 8)
• 15 years full-time education required

• Job Location: Bangalore (Flexibility: Hyderabad)
• Work Model: Work from Office once a week no exceptions
• Shift Timing: B Shift (12:00 PM 10:00 PM)
• Reporting Location: Accenture Office
