SAP SD Cs Functional Consultant

As the Lead SAP SD & CS Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Sales & Distribution and Customer Service solutions. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution. You will guide a team of functional consultants, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (MM, FI, PP, ABAP), and manage senior stakeholder relationships to deliver robust, scalable enterprise solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Solution Architecture & Delivery

 

Blueprint & Design: Lead requirement-gathering workshops with business stakeholders, analyze complex business processes, and design end-to-end "To-Be" solutions.

Hands-on Configuration: Perform and oversee advanced configuration in SAP SD (pricing, billing, delivery, credit management) and SAP CS (service contracts, service orders, repair processing, warranties).

Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of SD and CS modules with other SAP modules (MM, FICO, PP) and external third-party systems via EDI/ALE/IDocs.

S/4HANA Transformation: Drive the roadmap, impact analysis, and execution of moving from legacy SAP ECC environments to SAP S/4HANA (including Business Partner conversion and Settlement Management).

Team Leadership & Governance

 

Technical Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and review the deliverables of junior and mid-level functional consultants.

Quality Assurance: Define blueprinting standards, review functional specifications (FSDs), and establish robust testing strategies (Unit, Integration, and UAT).

Change Management: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, managing expectations and steering steering-committee alignments on critical process changes.

Required Experience & Qualifications

 

Professional Experience

 

Total Experience: 8+ years of experience in SAP functional consulting.

Core Expertise: Minimum of 2–3 full lifecycle implementations and multiple rollout/support projects explicitly focusing on both SAP SD and SAP CS.

Lead Experience: At least 3+ years in a lead or architect capacity managing small-to-mid-sized functional teams.

 

Technical & Functional Skill Set:

 

SAP SD (Sales & Distribution): Master data, Order Management, Consignment, Pricing Customization (Condition Techniques), Shipping/Transportation, Billing, Credit Management, and Revenue Recognition.

SAP CS (Customer Service): Service Contracts, In-house Repair Processing, Field Service Management, Warranty Tracking, Service Notifications/Orders, and Dipositioning.

Technical/Cross-Module: Strong understanding of IDocs, EDI mapping, and debugging skills. Experience with S/4HANA, Fiori apps, and SAP Service Cloud/BRIM is highly preferred.

 

Education & Certifications

 

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

SAP Certification in SD or S/4HANA Sales is a strong advantage.
