Why this role matters:

This role has been created to strengthen SAP security capability, reduce reliance on a small number of specialists and ensure appropriate separation of duties across the environment.

Beyond day-to-day security support, you'll play a key role in driving role remediation, access governance improvements, compliance initiatives and the design of scalable security solutions that support the organisation's long-term objectives.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity and available remote nz wide. You need working rights in NZ. 

What you'll lead & influence:

• Design, develop and support SAP security solutions across the organisation's SAP environment.
• Manage SAP roles, profiles and authorisations in line with security and compliance requirements.
• Support SAP Fiori security, role design and user experience improvements.
• Contribute to role redesign and remediation activities to improve access management and governance.
• Support segregation of duties (SoD) controls, compliance initiatives and audit activities.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose SAP security solutions.
• Participate in end-to-end SAP projects, including design, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Develop reusable tools, processes and documentation that improve efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost-effective optimisation across SAP security operations.

What you bring:

• At least three years' experience developing and supporting SAP security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP security and authorisation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori security, roles and access management.
• Experience supporting access governance, segregation of duties and sustainable role design practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP security solutions.
• Good understanding of the systems development lifecycle and SAP implementation methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong relationship-building, influencing, negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities.
• High personal and professional standards with sound judgement when managing security and access controls.
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and delivering long-term value.
