About the Opportunity

Role: Technical HR Data Steward (SAP SuccessFactors)

Hours: 36-40 hours per week

Location: North Brabant

Contract: Freelance / Contract

Working Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)

For a large organisation undergoing a significant HR data and analytics transformation, we are looking for an experienced Technical HR Data Steward with strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors and enterprise data modelling.

This is a specialist role focused on creating transparency, structure, and governance across HR data. You will work at the intersection of HR, SAP SuccessFactors, Data & Analytics, and reporting teams to ensure that HR data is traceable, consistent, and ready to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics solutions.

You will have a key role in establishing data standards, documenting data lineage, and creating a sustainable foundation for future HR data products and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert for HR data within SAP SuccessFactors.
• Analyse and document SAP SuccessFactors objects, fields, relationships, and data structures.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings between SAP SuccessFactors and reporting environments.
• Establish end-to-end data lineage across source systems, data platforms, and reporting solutions.
• Analyse existing semantic, reporting, and enterprise data models.
• Identify and document authoritative source fields for key HR data elements.
• Investigate data quality issues, inconsistencies, and duplicate data sources.
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders, Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Data Governance teams.
• Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and technical documentation.
• Support the development of reusable HR data standards and governance processes.
• Translate complex data structures into clear and understandable documentation.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong experience with SAP SuccessFactors and its underlying data model.
• Experience working with HR master data and HR business processes.
• Proven experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data governance.
• Experience creating source-to-target mappings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of enterprise data modelling concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience documenting technical solutions and governance standards.
• Knowledge of GDPR and working with sensitive employee data.
