Duties

• Deliver comprehensive SAT tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs, focusing on key areas such as Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals.
• Utilize a variety of learning technologies and digital tools to enhance instruction and engagement.
• Assess student progress regularly through practice tests, quizzes, and informal evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation.
• Adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners, including students with special education needs or those requiring additional support.
• Facilitate group workshops or small classes to foster collaborative learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and session notes for ongoing assessment.
• Stay current with best practices in tutoring, test prep strategies, and educational technology to continuously improve instructional quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in standardized test preparation such as the SAT.
• Strong knowledge of Math concepts, reading comprehension strategies, and writing skills relevant to the SAT.
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
• Experience developing curriculum content and lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools used in modern education settings.
• Background in adult education or classroom experience is a plus but not required.
• Effective presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts.
• Demonstrated experience working with students of varying ages and academic backgrounds.
