SAT Tutor (In Person)

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person tutoring sessions focused on SAT test preparation, including critical reading, math, writing, and test-taking strategies
• Develop customized lesson plans and curriculum materials aligned with students’ individual needs and goals
• Guide students through practice tests, review sessions, and skill-building exercises to improve their performance
• Utilize educational technology tools and learning platforms to enhance instruction and track student progress
• Provide clear guidance on SAT test structure, question types, and time management techniques
• Support students in building confidence and developing effective test-taking skills through active engagement and classroom management
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and feedback to inform ongoing instruction

Requirements

• Proven experience in SAT preparation tutoring or test preparation course instruction with high school students
• Strong background in English, Math, or Writing with the ability to teach these subjects effectively
• Experience working with high schoolers and understanding their unique learning needs
• Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and educational technology integration is a plus
• Excellent presentation skills, lesson planning abilities, and classroom management techniques
• Prior classroom experience or high school teaching experience is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and motivate students to achieve their best results
• Private tutoring experience or experience working with teenagers in an educational setting is preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
