SAT/ACT Test Prep Instructor

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SAT/ACT Test Prep Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will inspire high school students to excel on standardized tests by delivering engaging, effective, and personalized test preparation instruction. Duties

• Deliver comprehensive SAT and ACT preparation courses through in-person and online tutoring sessions, ensuring clarity and engagement for diverse student needs
• Develop tailored lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, test-taking strategies, and educational technology integration
• Guide students through practice tests, analyze results, and provide actionable feedback to improve performance in areas such as math, English, writing, and test-taking skills
• Utilize online tutoring platforms effectively to deliver interactive lessons that foster student participation and understanding
• Support students with test anxiety or special education needs by adapting instructional methods and providing targeted guidance
• Manage classroom dynamics during in-person sessions with strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
• Track student progress meticulously, maintain detailed records of sessions, and communicate growth milestones with parents or guardians when appropriate

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with high schoolers in test preparation or tutoring settings, especially for the SAT and ACT exams
• Strong knowledge of the SAT/ACT content areas including math, English language arts, writing skills, and test-taking strategies
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and online tutoring platforms for remote instruction
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content tailored to individual student needs
• Experience working with students with diverse learning styles or special education requirements is a plus
• High school teaching experience or adult education background is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, progress tracking, and managing multiple sessions effectively

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 10.0 per week
