Job Title: SAT/ACT Tutor

Compensation: Starting pay is a base of $45/hr + a bonus structure of $25/hr based on student success and retention (up to $70/hr total starting pay for hours that include bonus). With scheduled raises and retention bonuses, there is an ~18-month path to $60/hr base + $25/hr bonus = up to $85/hr.

Who We Are Looking For: We are looking for passionate educators to join our team as SAT/ACT instructors. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering results in one-on-one, virtual, SAT/ACT tutoring environments and will provide references that can attest to these results. Individuals with experience teaching Math, Science, or English in a high school classroom setting are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have experience and the ability to tutor for all sections of the SAT and ACT (math and verbal).

At least 6 hours of Sunday availability required.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver high-quality, one-on-one instruction to students via Zoom from a quiet and consistent workspace
• Use paid prep time to develop personalized lesson plans based on Marigold Prep’s curriculum and resources
• Oversee the schedules and goals of multiple students simultaneously with the support of Marigold leadership team
• Provide detailed, written session updates for families in our online portal within 24 hours of a completed session
• Participate in paid team meetings and trainings 1-2 times per month
• Schedule and deliver a 15-minute progress update to private tutoring parents once per month
• Represent Marigold Prep with the highest professionalism at all times

Our Ideal Candidates Have:

• Bachelor’s required, Master's preferred
• Sunday availability required (at least 6 hours)
• At least 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Ability to tutor for both the SAT and ACT, with a demonstrated ability to score in the 99th percentile on either test
• Ability to tutor some Advanced Placement subjects strongly preferred
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Google Suite and relevant business tools required for remote work
