Saw Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various cutting machinery to accurately cut and shape metal and sheet materials according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication, safety compliance, and efficient production flow.

Duties

• Skilled in using an industrial band saw to cut steel channel, pipe, and flat bar.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine cutting dimensions and angles
• Must have good tape measure skills and be able to use a hand grinder.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols during machine operation and handling materials

Experience

• Proven experience operating various saws (manual or CNC) in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments related to machine operation and material handling
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, and other precision tools for quality inspection
• Basic math skills including shop math necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining processes
• Experience with welding, forming machines, sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, crane operation, and assembly is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
