Saw Operator

Essential Functions:

• Set up, adjust and operate saws to cut raw materials.
• Utilize technical drawings, written instructions and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts.
• Perform secondary processes (including but not limited to: deburring parts and running additional pieces of equipment) while the machine is running.
• Inspect materials before cutting and inspect parts before and after production to verify conformance to specifications on the work order.
• Load and unload materials and parts from machines, racks, tables, carts, pallets, baskets and boxes.
• Read work orders, labels, tags and other documentation.
• Clean and maintain the Saw Area.
• Perform routine maintenance in accordance with established procedures.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience: Capable of learning to use precision measuring equipment and learning to read prints and drawings; math skills (adding, subtracting) and knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents; familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred; prior experience with metal working machinery and/or trade school or shop experience preferred.

Wage Range:$20 – $25/hour
