Sawmill Operator

In this role, you will operate various cutting machinery, including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, and press brake machines, to transform raw materials into high-quality components. Your mechanical aptitude and attention to detail will ensure that each cut meets strict specifications, supporting our commitment to excellence. Duties

• Set up and operate cutting equipment such as CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to produce precise parts according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical specifications, and measurement tools like calipers to ensure accuracy
• Perform CNC programming adjustments to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiency
• Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble components and perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using calipers, gauges, and visual checks to verify adherence to specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, machining, and material handling
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, or other machining equipment

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating saws or CNC machinery in a manufacturing or machining environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Familiarity with CNC programming, laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, and press brake operations is highly desirable
• Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, gauges, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, forklift handling, and machine operation
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and precision machining
• Basic understanding of assembly processes and mechanical systems is a plus
