About Us

Millari NZ is a proud timber manufacturer with operations across Aotearoa and Australia.

We are looking for multiple Sawmill Operators / Production Machine Operators to join our expanding production and mill operations team in Gisborne, New Zealand, across our 24/7 operation.

Permanent full-time roles available, with training provided, day or night shifts on a 4-on-3-off roster across Monday–Sunday. Have fun while you learn and earn! Be a part of the Millari NZ whanau!

Key Responsibilities

• Operating sawmill and production machinery
• Timber handling, feeding, stacking, and packing
• Production line support
• Maintaining safety, PPE, and clean work areas

We’re Looking For

• Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
• Mechanically minded with practical problem-solving skills
• Manufacturing, labouring, or machinery experience (advantageous)
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Physically fit and comfortable in an industrial environment

Role Details

• Full-time permanent opportunities
• Approximately 48 hours per week
• Starting rate: $24.00 per hour
• Day and night shifts on a 4-on-3-off roster across Monday-Sunday

Typical shifts:

• 6:00am – 6:30pm
• 6:00pm – 6:30am

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol and medical testing
• Participate in random drug and alcohol testing
• Follow strict health and safety procedures
