SC Cleared Programme Manager

SC Cleared Data & AI Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager – Outside IR35 - £600-£700 per day – 12 month contract

We are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Data & AI Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex Data, AI and digital transformation programmes within a Defence or Central Government environment .

The successful candidate will have experience delivering large-scale Data & AI programmes , working across technical teams, senior government stakeholders, suppliers and delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Data & AI programmes .
• Manage multiple projects and technical workstreams across the programme.
• Oversee delivery across data platforms, analytics, AI/ML and GenAI initiatives .
• Coordinate Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, Architects and Security teams.
• Own programme plans, roadmaps, milestones and dependencies.
• Manage programme risks, issues, budgets, resources and commercial considerations.
• Work closely with technical teams to move Data & AI solutions from discovery through to production.
• Ensure appropriate data governance, security and compliance requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
• Provide clear reporting to senior government stakeholders and governance boards.
• Manage technology suppliers and delivery partners against agreed outcomes.

Essential Experience

• Active SC Clearance.
• Previous experience delivering programmes within UK Defence or Central Government .
• Strong experience as a Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager delivering Data & AI programmes.
• Proven delivery across Data, AI/ML, GenAI or advanced analytics programmes .
• Experience working with Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML and Architecture teams .
• Experience managing complex technical programmes with multiple workstreams and dependencies.
• Strong programme governance, planning, RAID and dependency management.
• Experience managing senior government stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
• Experience delivering within secure, highly governed environments .
• Strong understanding of data governance, security and responsible AI considerations .
