Negros Power is looking for professionals to join our growing team as a SCADA Engineer. This is a full-time on-site role located in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.

Role Description:

As a SCADA Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing SCADA functional design specifications, configuration, and interface requirements that support the Company's operational requirements. The role also focuses on SCADA system security and integrity, engineering design, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement through innovative and cost-effective system solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure integrated SCADA design and compliance with the Company's requirements and specifications for operations.
2. Facilitate cooperation and teamwork among contractors, SCADA specialists, SCADA network specialists, and SCADA hardware engineers.
3. Evaluate contractors' SCADA and power plant system engineering proposals and designs.
4. Oversee the protection of the SCADA environment and ensure SCADA data security and integrity through appropriate operational guidelines and controls.
5. Develop cost-reduction strategies through innovation in system designs and engineering, applying value engineering, constructability, and task analysis initiatives.
6. Maintain license and support contract documentation for SCADA systems, including related commercial liabilities and assets.
7. Coordinate with other departments and communicate system changes and revisions.
8. Perform other activities and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE).
• Professional Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in SCADA or related systems is preferred, or in communications.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must be a Registered Electronics Engineer (ECE). Survalent or other SCADA-related certification/specialization is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, system configuration, interfaces, and engineering requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking, decisive decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, particularly when coordinating with contractors and technical specialists.
• Demonstrates adaptability, resourcefulness, and effective leadership in handling technical and operational requirements.
• Strong organizational management skills with the ability to manage system documentation, changes, and multiple technical requirements.
• A valid Driver's License (manual transmissionn) is preferred.
