SCADA Engineer

SCADA / AVEVA PI Engineer with Web Development Skills – Brussels – Start January 2027

The context

For one of our clients, a major player in the energy sector, Adiutum is looking for a SCADA / AVEVA PI Engineer to join a 9-person competence center in Brussels.

The team runs an AVEVA PI based data platform (historian, AF analytics, interfaces, reporting via web, Excel, Power BI and AWS) that collects process data from several hundred industrial data sources and serves thousands of users in power generation, trading, facility management and gas storage, mainly in Europe.

Your role

You keep the PI systems running: monitoring of data sources and interfaces, incident management, and support to users on PI calculations, AF models and tag management. On a rotating basis, you act as the team’s Single Point of Contact for end users and handle first-line incidents.

Beyond operations, you put your development skills to work: small web and application tools around the platform (.NET, HTML5, Python), scripts, new PI interfaces, data flows to AWS and data migrations.

Your profile

You hold a Master’s degree , ideally in engineering (industrial, electromechanical, electrical or computer science). Beyond the diploma, we are looking for a sharp, curious mind that enjoys understanding how things work, from the process on site to the data on screen.

You have at least 4 years of experience in SCADA , process historians or real-time systems, with hands-on experience on AVEVA PI (PI Server, AF, interfaces, PI Vision or similar) or a strong motivation to specialise in it.

Knowledge of electricity and power systems is a real asset to understand the business you support.

You have solid development basics: SQL and RDBMS, Web APIs, HTML5, Python or .NET. Windows infrastructure and basic networking hold no secrets for you.

Analytical, proactive and accountable, you enjoy an operational environment and communicate clearly about technical issues with both engineers and business users.

Languages: very good Dutch or French, good level in the other, very good English.
