SCADA Engineer for Implementation, Testing and Commissioning

About the role

This role involves leading the Implementation, Testing and Commissioning of SCADA and Communications systems, managing end-to-end configuration, and ensuring seamless data transmission across industry-standard protocols. You will oversee HMI development, system documentation, FAT/SAT processes, and maintain robust communication links between internal systems and diverse client-side hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the testing and commissioning of SCADA and Communications systems
• Generate and develop HMI, schematic, I0 points list, and system documentation
• Conduct FAT/SAT
• Manage the end-to-end configuration ensuring seamless data transmission via industry-standard protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and IEC61850
• Manage the configuration and maintenance of the SCADA software environment, ensuring that the human-machine interface (HMI) and back-end services are optimized for real-time monitoring
• Facilitate interoperability between internal NKS systems and diverse client-side hardware, maintaining robust communication links across dual environments
• Manage database administration and configuration, ensuring the continuous integrity of system data

About you

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in SCADA-related systems
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a relevant discipline
• Registered Engineer certification (REE/ECE) is highly desired
• Comprehensive grasp of electrical substations, high-voltage infrastructure, or industrial automation solutions
• Superior interpersonal communication, robust stakeholder management capabilities, and adept troubleshooting aptitudes
• Functional familiarity with telemetry and standard data communication protocols
• Working command of SQL database structures and queries
• Adequate comprehension of network topology and data routing principles
• Foundational capabilities in software engineering and code execution
