Scada Software Design Engineer (Bangpoo)

Job Responsibilities

1. Programming : Proficiency in languages like C/C++, Java, or Python for developing SCADA software.
2. PLC/RTU Knowledge: Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for interfacing with SCADA systems.
3. Communication Protocols: Familiarity with protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC-UA for data exchange.
4. Control Systems: Understanding of control theory and PID control for optimizing SCADA system performance.
5. Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in SCADA deployments.
6. Electrical Safety: Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices for ensuring the integrity of SCADA systems.
7. Integration: Ability to integrate SCADA systems with power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
8. Cybersecurity: Understanding of cybersecurity principles for protecting SCADA systems from cyber threats.
9. HMI Design: Experience in designing intuitive Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for operators to monitor and control processes.
10. Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in SCADA technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software development, with proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Fluent in Thai, with strong communication skills in English
• Knowledge of Ethernet, IoT communication protocols, or energy management systems is a plus
• Experience with mainstream embedded operating systems (e.g., AUTOSAR, FreeRTOS, Linux) and MCU/MPU platforms is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., ASPICE); experience with cybersecurity (e.g., ISO 21434) and functional safety (e.g., ISO 26262) is highly preferred.
