SCADA solutions consultant

Customer Solution Consultant – SCADA

Location: Houston, Texas

I'm working with a growing energy technology business looking to hire a Customer Solution Consultant with strong hands-on SCADA experience to support renewable energy customers across North America.

This is a customer-facing technical role suited to someone who understands SCADA configuration, troubleshooting and data integration, and enjoys solving complex technical issues rather than simply monitoring systems.

The Role

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot SCADA and historian platforms supporting renewable energy assets.
• Investigate data loss, communication failures and stale data across devices, RTUs, networks and SCADA configurations.
• Support integrations using industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and MQTT.
• Work directly with customers to resolve technical issues, manage support tickets and meet service-level agreements.
• Use SQL and APIs to investigate data issues and support system integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer teams to improve system performance and reliability.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on SCADA configuration and integration experience.
• Experience with AVEVA System Platform, Wonderware, InTouch/OMI, Historian, Ignition, OSIsoft PI or similar platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and MQTT.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across industrial devices, communications networks and SCADA systems.
• Exposure to renewable energy or power generation environments, including solar, wind, battery storage, substations, power plant controllers or energy management systems.
• Confident communicating with customers, managing technical issues and explaining solutions clearly.
