Scaffolder (Civil Construction)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolder to perform the erection, modification, inspection preparation, and dismantling of scaffolding structures for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in scaffolding systems, working at heights, construction site safety, and supporting civil and structural construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures for civil construction activities.
• Install scaffolding for concrete works, formwork, structural works, plastering, painting, and building maintenance.
• Assemble and dismantle tube-and-coupler, frame, and modular scaffolding systems.
• Ensure scaffolding structures are properly supported, braced, leveled, and secured.
• Follow approved scaffolding drawings, erection procedures, and safety requirements.
• Inspect scaffolding materials, including tubes, clamps, boards, ladders, and fittings, before use.
• Install guardrails, toe boards, access ladders, and working platforms.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, site supervisors, and safety officers regarding scaffolding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with working-at-height procedures and applicable safety standards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection systems.
• Report damaged scaffolding materials, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards immediately.
• Assist authorized scaffolding inspectors during inspections and certification.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe storage of scaffolding materials.
• Perform other scaffolding-related duties assigned by the site supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school or technical qualification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of scaffolding experience in civil construction projects.
• Practical experience in scaffolding erection and dismantling for buildings, infrastructure, and structural construction.
• Knowledge of tube-and-coupler, frame, and modular scaffolding systems.
• Ability to understand basic scaffolding drawings and safety instructions.
• Familiarity with scaffolding load limits, access requirements, and fall protection procedures.
• Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and working-at-height requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work at heights.
• Valid scaffolding training or competency certification preferred.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC construction experience is an advantage.

Safety Requirements

• Follow approved scaffolding erection and dismantling procedures.
• Never modify or remove scaffolding components without authorization.
• Ensure scaffolding is inspected and released for use by an authorized competent person.
• Follow all site HSE requirements and applicable safety regulations.
• Immediately report unsafe scaffolding conditions to the supervisor.
