Scaffolding Estimator

About the Role

Heathrow Scaffolding Ltd is looking for an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join our growing business.

We work across commercial, residential, industrial and construction projects and are continuing to expand our operations across London, Blackpool, Lancashire and the wider UK.

We are looking for someone with strong scaffolding industry knowledge who can prepare accurate and competitive estimates while also proactively identifying new tender opportunities.

This is an important position within the company and would suit an experienced estimator who wants to play a direct role in winning new work and growing the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify new scaffolding tender opportunities across the UK
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documentation
• Carry out quantity take-offs
• Prepare accurate and competitive scaffolding estimates and quotations
• Calculate labour, materials, transport, hire periods and associated project costs
• Manage multiple tenders and submission deadlines
• Submit high-quality tenders to main contractors, developers and other clients
• Follow up quotations and tender submissions
• Liaise with quantity surveyors, procurement teams, contractors and developers
• Attend site visits where required
• Negotiate commercial terms and assist in converting quotations into secured contracts
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations and tender outcomes
• Work closely with management and operations once projects are secured
• Help grow our client and project base across London, Lancashire and nationwide

Essential Experience

Previous scaffolding estimating experience is essential for this position.

You should have:

• Proven experience as a Scaffolding Estimator or in a similar scaffolding commercial role
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, labour requirements and costs
• Experience producing scaffolding estimates, quotations and tender submissions
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of margins, pricing and project profitability
• Ability to identify and pursue new tender opportunities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Confidence dealing with main contractors, developers, QS teams and procurement departments
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
• Good written and spoken English
• Full UK driving licence preferred
