Position: Scaffolding Inspector
Location: Ras Abu Fontas, Qatar
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Certification: Valid CISRS Scaffolding Inspector Certificate
Industry Preference: Plant / Oil & Gas / Industrial Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Inspector with strong plant/industrial project experience to ensure scaffolding activities are carried out safely and in compliance with approved standards, procedures, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect scaffolding structures before use, during erection, modification, and after alteration or adverse conditions.
• Verify that scaffolding is erected, modified, and dismantled by competent and authorized personnel.
• Check scaffolding for proper erection, stability, access, bracing, ties, platforms, guardrails, toe boards, and base supports.
• Ensure scaffolding complies with approved drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and applicable safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding at plant/site areas and identify unsafe conditions or defects.
• Ensure proper scaffolding tagging and inspection status are maintained.
• Issue inspection records/reports and maintain accurate documentation of scaffolding inspections.
• Immediately identify and report unsafe or defective scaffolding and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify that scaffolding materials and components are in good condition and suitable for use.
• Coordinate with Scaffolding Supervisors, HSE personnel, Construction teams, and site management regarding inspection requirements.
• Monitor compliance with site safety procedures, permit requirements, and access restrictions.
• Ensure corrective actions are completed before scaffolding is released for use.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and scaffolding-related risk assessments when required.
• Maintain inspection registers and provide regular reports to the site management/HSE team.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant scaffolding inspection experience.
• Valid CISRS Scaffolding Inspector Certificate is mandatory.
• Candidates with Plant, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial project experience are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding inspection, safety requirements, and industry practices.
• Ability to identify scaffolding defects and unsafe conditions.
• Good understanding of scaffolding components, erection requirements, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a plant/industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to HSE and site safety requirements.
