About the role

This is a full-time position based in Batam, Riau Islands, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to major construction projects in the region. As a Scaffolding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding systems across our construction sites. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining safety standards, optimising project timelines, and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality construction solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee the installation of scaffolding systems in accordance with engineering specifications and safety regulations

• Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify any defects or wear

• Supervise and coordinate with construction teams to ensure proper use and maintenance of scaffolding throughout project duration

• Manage the dismantling and removal of scaffolding systems in a safe and efficient manner

• Maintain detailed records of scaffolding installations, inspections, and maintenance activities

• Provide training and guidance to workers on safe scaffolding practices and correct usage

• Liaise with project managers, site supervisors and health and safety officers to address scaffolding-related concerns

• Identify cost-saving opportunities in scaffolding design and installation without compromising safety or quality

• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations and company policies

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Scaffolding Specialist or in a similar scaffolding management role

• Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, and installation techniques relevant to construction projects

• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in construction, including relevant Indonesian standards

• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements

• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience supervising teams

• Valid certifications in scaffolding (or willingness to obtain relevant certifications)

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in challenging site conditions

• Proficiency in relevant software or digital tools for planning and documentation (preferred)

• Experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects (preferred)
