SCCM / MECM Engineer (Intune)

About the role

This role involves managing and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and related endpoint management infrastructure. You will be responsible for building, testing, and deploying software application packages and updates to end-user devices, managing Windows client images, and providing advanced technical support for MECM/Intune infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy software application packages and software updates to end-user devices
• Manage Windows client images, application packaging, scripting, and related endpoint management projects
• Maintain the health of the MECM environment, including clients, servers, and distribution points
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for issues involving the MECM/Intune infrastructure and functionality
• Support and administer the Microsoft Autopilot environment, including device enrollment, auto-provisioning configuration, device access and compliance, application management, and endpoint security
• Perform day-to-day administration of the MECM/MEM environment and develop or implement new solutions when required
• Monitor and tune system performance and provide administration, configuration, installation, deployment, and maintenance support
• Troubleshoot MECM/SCCM client installation, software distribution, remote control, and other endpoint management issues
• Analyze infrastructure disruptions and recommend or implement improvements
• Support endpoint protection technologies, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience administering and maintaining MECM/SCCM and Microsoft Intune
• Strong experience in application deployment and software update management using MECM/MEM
• Experience troubleshooting complex software distribution and endpoint management issues
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows 8/10/11, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Microsoft Office / Office 365, and Azure
• Strong understanding of SCCM/MECM, particularly application deployment, patch management, Operating System Deployment (OSD), client and server maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting
• In-depth knowledge of SCCM/MECM client installation, software distribution, and remote control
• Experience with Microsoft Autopilot, including device enrollment, provisioning, compliance, application management, and security
• Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding, and challenging IT environment
