Schedule Controller

About the role

The Schedule Controller is responsible for all scheduling and planning activities as per contract requirements for the project assigned to them.

Key responsibilities

• Study project requirements defined in specifications and prepare project construction schedule (resource-loaded) in Primavera, MS Project or other planning software selected for the project, including proper work logic sequencing for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning work packages (Level 1 to Level 4)
• Develop project schedule based on clearly defined scope of works and submit to owner/client with proper submission template for review and comment within time frame set forth in the contract
• Prepare a project execution plan in consultation with Project Manager and Project Control Manager in relation to the schedule drafted
• Monitor and update weekly and monthly project progress reports and track the milestone list, work discipline S-curves and manpower histograms
• Prepare and monitor project schedule and manpower for additional scope of works and present its impact on baseline activities and resource allocation
• Prepare and monitor the run down curve for major activities and trades
• Analyze the project plan for what has happened, current situation and what needs to be done to close up the progress variance, and identify potential delay due to current and expected project issues
• Collaborate with the project management team to handle project schedules, document management, and project delivery
• Create and maintain the Document Management System according to Microsoft specifications, organize, sort, and file documents appropriately, ensuring proper archiving
• Conduct quality checks on documents following document control procedures, manage technical documents including drawings and blueprints, and handle records across departments while maintaining confidentiality for sensitive documents

About you

• Ability to develop project schedule in consultation with Project Manager, Project Control Manager and Project Cost Controller to achieve payment milestones and maintain positive cash flow during the project execution phase
• Ability to foresee and highlight risk that might have impact on critical path
• Ability to develop sufficient control measures with Project Manager and Project Control Manager to prevent impact on critical path delivery
• Prompt in reporting problems and discussing matters sensibly with fellow colleagues and immediate superiors to prioritize work according to importance and urgency
• Ability to work closely with Project Manager, Project Control Manager and Project Expeditor to ensure project progress meets baseline plan
• Ability to ensure all documentation is accessible for auditing within a centralized archive
• Ability to take meeting minutes and log relevant information
• Ability to facilitate effective relationships with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers, and engineers
