About the role

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to join PT. China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai's team in Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the planning and scheduling operations of our construction projects. As Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring comprehensive project schedules that ensure timely and efficient project delivery. This role is essential to our operational success, directly supporting project managers, site teams and stakeholders in achieving project milestones and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software and methodologies
• Coordinate with project management teams to establish realistic timelines, resource allocations and critical path analysis
• Monitor schedule performance and identify variances from planned timelines, reporting on progress to senior management and stakeholders
• Prepare comprehensive schedule reports, forecasts and analytics for project reviews and client presentations
• Manage schedule changes and variations, evaluating impacts on project duration, costs and resource requirements
• Collaborate with site teams, contractors and subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Utilise earned value management and other performance measurement techniques to track project progress
• Support bid preparation activities by developing preliminary schedules and timeline assessments for new projects
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to project timelines and delivery milestones

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project scheduling within the construction industry, preferably on large, complex projects
• Proficiency in industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent applications
• Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies, including Critical Path Method (CPM), resource levelling and risk analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and develop practical solutions
• Demonstrated experience in preparing schedule reports, forecasts and presentations for senior management and clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of construction contracts, project management standards and industry best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field (preferred)
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, DRUP or scheduling-specific qualifications (advantageous)
• Experience with international construction projects or working in Indonesia would be beneficial
